Handbuilding Large Vases

An exploration of coil building — one of the oldest techniques for constructing ceramic vessels — across two days.

Working in a small group, you’ll be guided through both the technical and intuitive sides of handbuilding. On the second day, the focus shifts to surface decoration using clay slips: a traditional technique for applying colour and shapes directly onto the clay.

The workshop is open to all levels.

In the weeks following your session, your piece will be glazed and fired by Casa Gira.
