Casa Gira was born from a deep love of clay and a vision to honor community, diversity, heritage, and the timeless beauty of traditional craft. Through intimate one-on-one wheel-throwing sessions, I invite you to step into this ancient practice—ancestral knowledge shaped by hands and carried across generations.

2-SESSION PRIVATE POTTERY COURSE

This one-on-one course takes you through the journey of creating your first ceramic pieces: from wheel throwing to trimming and decorating. At the end of the second session, you will choose glazes that will be applied to your pieces before firing.

Working with clay is both grounding and mindful. As you mold and shape each piece, you’re invited to slow down, be fully present, and rediscover your connection to the Earth.

No previous experience is required, and all tools and materials are included (just bring along your favorite snacks if you’d like).

✦ Day 2 – Trimming & Decorating (4 hours)

Yes! Once your pieces are fired, they’ll be ready for you to pick up.
Yes, you can glaze and fire up to 5 pieces — included in the price of the workshop. In case you want to fire more items, there will be a small fee per piece, to be defined according to their dimensions.
Comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Aprons are provided.
Usually 2–4 weeks, depending on kiln schedules and drying times.
For now, only one-on-one classes are offered by Casa Gira.
Currently, the one-on-one workshops are offered to adults only (18+).
